**International Antiques & Art Dealer: Alex Batista**

Meet Alex Batista!

We asked Alex how he got into the world of antiques, and here’s what he had to say:
“I accidentally entered the antique realm after my ex-wife and I purchased a country home in Milford, PA, in Pike County. As we began furnishing our home, we visited various shops and auctions. Shortly after, she opened a small shop in town. At the time, I was working as a controller in the corporate world, but I became involved in her business. By the mid-1980s, I was running auctions every 4 to 6 weeks under the name ‘Tri-State Auction’ in Port Jervis, NY. We handled many fine Victorian pieces and delved into the Mission and Arts & Crafts movements.”

However, Alex never limited himself to one era. He personally loves eclectic design with a touch of the unusual,
appreciating everything from ‘Belter to Bertoia.’

Alex has been selling quality antiques for over 30 years, and specializes in 19th and 20th-century furniture, decorative arts, and unique oddities.
He always has a great selection of some rare Mid Century Modern pieces.
