34th annual Shad Festival – April 25 & 26 – 2015
Always in the mood for a celebration, Lambertville residents hosted the first Shad Fest in 1981 to highlight the local art scene. The Shad Fest tradition was born as spring blossomed, the shad made their way upriver, and the locals strolled through town enjoying the arts and crafts of their friends and neighbors. 32 years later, Shad Fest has grown from a local event to an award-winning tourist attraction.
Many artists are donating artwork for a silent & a live auction. Proceeds from the poster event go into a dedicated scholarship fund for students at South Hunterdon Regional and New-Hope Solebury High School sending districts pursuing a collegiate career in the arts.
Auction and Sale Posters are displayed at the recreation room of the First Presbyterian Church, 31 N. Union St. The Artists Reception, Friday evening, April 24 (7-9 PM) through Sunday, April 26 at 1 PM. The Silent Auction begins immediately (Friday night) and runs until 1 pm Sunday. The Live Auction begins at 3 pm on Sunday.
